Uwaila Omozuwa was a 100 level student at the University of Benin, Edo state. The 22 year old got raped and killed inside a Reedemed Christian Church of God where she was Reading.
The news caused a lot of women to transfer their anger from rapist, to men.

Genevieve Nnaji however spoke her mind about the rape and murder of Uwaila Omozuwa. She wrote :

Do not misinterpret
Uwaila Omozuwa’s case Is a tragic one and it is a shame that many are not focused on the issue at hand, rather they focus on the words of Genevieve Nnaji and they chose to misinterprete what she said.
An argument came about whether indecent dressing is the cause of rape, many disagreed to that, their reason being that indecent dressing doesn’t make some men rape 13 year old girls.
Others wrote that If a lady is raped men usually ask ”what was she wearing” which is very bad because it is not always about what she wore but about the heart of the men that rape. The men that raped Uwaila Omozuwa and killed her are still walking about without being arrested.

Men out there should stop raping women as the rape case in the country increases almost everyday. Women are humans and they need to be treated like one, not sex toys. The stop raping women hashtag trend as everyone wants justice for Uwaila Omozuwa.
