5 things you can do to overcome depression

Exercise.

Exercise helps to heal your brain, it releases dopamine, serotonin etc. These play a big part in regulation your mood and making you feel better. Exercise is one of the good medications for depression. Make it a thing of duty to exercise to exercise at least three times a week, non-negotiable. If you are not going to use medicine, exercise is one good way to heal yourself.

Do not cheat nature, sleep.

If you are slamming coffee into your system on a regular, always isolating yourself, staying up late at night doing nothing, there is a possibility that you will feel miserable within a week. Sleep is used to recharge our bodies in the deepest level. It is when we rest our bodies. Do what you need to do to prioritize high quality sleep.

The two most common pets are the dogs and cats. Pets is said to help when it comes to companionship, when you have a pet, it gives you this sense of responsibility and it raises your self-esteem to an extent when you are able to look after your pet.

Socialize

when I mean socialize, I mean you should engage in social activities, go out with friends to see a movie, or have some fun, or go for some comedy show that could help you laugh and shift your mind from some certain things that are bothering you and may be making you feel depressed. Instead of watching a football match in your home, you could go with some friends to watch it and make yourself feel cool and relaxed. The essence of socializing Is to take your mind off the things that are making you feel depressed.

Listen to music

Jazz music with a very good tune can help you in your thinking, it could create a more positive vibe for you. Music helps to alert your brain and it can help you to improve your mood.
